Sign of Death was founded in Germany in February 2019 and operates within the melodic thrash / death metal spectrum, blending aggressive riffs, heavy grooves, and dark atmospheric intensity. From the very beginning, the band showed a clear vision — not following trends, but forging its own sound through strong composition, dynamics, and identity. After several lineup changes in the early years, the core of the band solidified around Oskar and Jannis, who represent the creative backbone of Sign of Death. Together, they have written, recorded, and shaped the band’s material, defining its direction and sonic character. The debut single “Lost” was released in 2021, followed by the EP “Revival” in 2022, which received positive feedback for its maturity, power, and songwriting. The band has performed live on various stages and continues to evolve both in the studio and on stage. Currently, Sign of Death is working intensively on its upcoming full-length album, focusing on darker atmospheres, stronger compositions, and a sound that fully represents the band’s identity.
